Nanaimo Hockey Academy in partnership with Aspengrove School, Athletics 4 All Society, and Prime’ is a skills academy and travel team providing grades 5-12 education with the additional benefits of daily training, on-ice development, and sport specific electives all during school hours.
Our mission is to provide athletes with the best opportunity to succeed, not just in hockey, but in academics and life. We have partnered with the best in the industry to provide athletes the environment, education and support to succeed.
Pillar 1: EDUCATION
For education we offer two streams:
Stream 1: Full Experience
We are excited to partner up with the highly renowned Aspengrove School for our FULL EXPERIENCE brick and mortar stream. With this stream athletes will be enrolled and present at Aspengrove School for their education component and will have the opportunity to benefit from all Aspengrove has to offer.

Stream 2: Online Experience
We are also thrilled to continue our relationship with N.I.D.E.S, providing athletes the ultimate flexibility with online learning. With this stream, a full time teacher will be provided to teach and supervise the in-class portion , as we had for the 2024/2025 year.

“The academy’s educational component was challenging, engaging, and rewarding. Having the opportunity to work with the teacher and set individual goals relative to our son’s interests while still maintaining the curriculum was fantastic. On-ice, the professional coaching staff’s experience, knowledge, and commitment to the players is amazing.
